Search the web for more info on the TV Licence fee.

We, the undersigned demand the immediate cancellation of the television licence fee.
We believe this is an indiscriminate tax that makes no allowance for personal choice and indeed pays for no meaningful public service.
It is our view that the BBC should be funded by voluntary subscription or sponsorship, and that those who choose not to support the corporation, its aims, values and output, should be free to do so.
The world has moved on since the days when the BBC was central to British life. It is high time that legislation was introduced to catch up with this fact. Any modern government that fails to acknowledge this fact is quite simply defying the will of the people.

why do we pay nearly 4 times as much for a colour licence as opposed to a black and white. I thought the tv set determined whether you viewed in colour which we have already paid for that privilege when buying the set, perhaps someone should think of taking them to court as I cannot see why they are charging so much to view in colour when it is nothing to do with them only the tv set we use.

After many many years of paying this 'licence' which in my opinion is not a licence at all. It is a form of instruction that thou shall pay if thou possess a TV. This in itself is strickly untrue. However without going into details, I have finnally come to my senses that the BBC is no longer an impartial organisation (which is against it's Royal Charter)and hasn't been for a while. David Dimbleton's question time is just one example of many biased programmes it airs! We are also in an age of multi channel technology. Also the BBC is in breach of the funding provisions made by the Royal Charter in receiving millions from the EU. A Treasonous act! I could go on but I think I've said enough. Therefore as from this moment I will be witholding my payment. And to hell with all those pigs with their noses in the troughs!!

I have been threatened with legal action, I have far to many worries on my hands without having to deal with these blackmailing extortionists. I believe that the "licence FEE" is infact a legally enforced racket to blackmail the public out of billions of pounds a year. Its in the somplest terms discusting, why the British Government allows these sneaky bastards to do this is quite frankly beyond me! One this year is paid, they can sod off, because I will not pay them a single penny more based on my refusal to respond to blackmail. With any luck, they wont pursue me and back the hell off!
